Making the Portfolio Wider
If your portfolio pages have a lot of text, you may want to consider making your portfolio wider to lessen the scroll bar on your pages. Long pages with heavy text can be intimidating to a reader. By making the portfolio wider, you make the text appear more condensed and inviting.
There are a few other design options you want to keep in mind if you choose to make your portfolio wider, such as adjusting the size of the left navigation module and centering your banner.
How to Make Your Portfolio Wider
Find the section of code that looks like this:
#header_container, #main_container {
background-color:#FFFFFF;
border-color:#FFFFFF;
border-style:solid;
border-width:0 10px;
position:relative;
}
In that method add the following statement:
width: 900px;
Note that the default width is 780px and the maximum expansion is 1000px.
