Fonts
The readability of your page is very important. Fonts help with this readability by offering a variety of appearance options, such as size and weight.
There are many ways in which you can modify your font in Digication. On this page, you'll find a guide to modifying your font's family, size, transform, and weight. If you want to learn how to modify your font's color, please refer to Font Color.
You can modify font in three places in your Digication portfolio: the top navigation (.navigation_topnav a), the left navigation (.navigation_leftnav a), or in the entire portfolio (body). Note that if you have not already added the left navigation method, you will have to add it to your CSS in order to adjust the font.

Font Families That Work In Digication
Below is a list of some of the font families that work in Digication. Note that Verdana is the default Digication font. To change your font family, paste the chosen font family statement into your CSS code: font-family: Arial Narrow, sans-serif; font-family: Book Antiqua, Palatino, Palatino Linotype, Palatino LT STD, Georgia, serif; font-family: Cambria, Georgia, serif; font-family: Century Gothic, sans-serif; font-family: Consolas, monaco, monospace; font-family: Copperplate, Copperplate Gothic Light, sans-serif; font-family:Georgia,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; font-family: Impact, Charcoal, sans-serif; font-family: Lucida Sans Unicode, Lucida Grande, sans-serif; font-family: Papyrus, fantasy; font-family:Script MT Bold,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Segoe, sans-serif; font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif; font-family: Verdana,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; |
If you find another font that you want to use, just paste the font family statement into your code and see if it works. You may need to modify some statements as Digication's CSS font-family statements have no quotation marks or apostrophes. Simply remove them from the statement before putting it into your code.
Finally, remember that the availability of fonts depends on whether or not a font is downloaded to a computer and its browser. CSS Font Stack provides a list of fonts and their compatibility with Windows and Mac (scroll over the information circle above each font). However, to be certain your font will work across platforms you may have to test your portfolio on each individual browser for Windows and Mac. If your font family does not work Digication will substitute the default Verdana font family.
